I’m a researcher, writer, and musician. Whenever possible, I like to combine those activities. I have a long time musical collaboration with writer and musician Aafke Romeijn. Our most recent project is a series of narrative podcasts for Dutch national public radio (NPO) and the broadcasting network KRO-NCRV. The first podcast series is called Monsters in het bos and was released in May 2024. My essays have been published in Dutch national journals and weeklies, such as the Groene Amsterdammer and the Nederlandse Boekengids (the DUtch Review of Books). Most of my music is released under the moniker of Jonge Woudloper. As a researcher and lecturer I am affiliated with the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society.
